REAL OPPORTUNITIES
State Farm®, a great place to work.
Facilities Management / Administrative Services
Our Passion
“What’s your passion?” This question is sometimes forgotten in the job hunt. Not by Manny Cordero …
Cordero started his State Farm career in 1990 as a drafting technician in the building design area. Eighteen years later, he holds a leadership position overseeing the Facility Planning unit. Along the way, he has excelled in many different jobs and business areas — all of which have enabled him to find and pursue his passions. The more than 3,700 employees across the country who make up Administrative Services share similar experiences.
Administrative Services is focused on leveraging people, processes, and technology to support the current and future goals of State Farm. Department responsibilities include:
Delivering management tools and infrastructure support to facilitate Enterprise operations
Providing first-class facilities and services for our internal customers; in turn, providing exceptional service for our customers and agents
Providing proactive, innovative, and cost-effective procurement and distribution services
Providing supply management strategies to meet business needs and maximize the quality and total cost benefit of acquired products and services
Providing strategic planning and identification of innovative business and technology solutions
Providing a safe and secure work environment and crucial assistance to State Farm’s catastrophe program through strategic deployment of Company and vendor resources
Administrative Services also helps State Farm maintain a leadership position in the area of environmental responsibility and sustainability:
Our fleet management function is helping to set the standard for the industry. Automotive Fleet Magazine recently recognized State Farm for having the fourth-largest non-governmental alternative-fuel commercial fleet in the United States.
State Farm ranked 18th out of 100 groups in the U.S. that have invested in fleet vehicles to help reduce greenhouse gases and air pollution.
State Farm has also been recognized for improving energy efficiency in our facilities and continues to maintain an aggressive recycling strategy.
