Desiree, Bank Technician
Hometown: Troy, PA
Why State Farm?
My father was hired with State Farm in January, 2004, and his enthusiasm about his job, benefits, how State Farm treats him as an employee left no doubt in my mind that this was a company that I wanted to work for as well. I was promoted to Bank Technician in May 2007 and am able to utilize and enhance my leadership skills. The amount of knowledge I have gained and will continue to gain with State Farm makes me excited and proud to be part of the State Farm enterprise.
I enjoy…
...the people that I work with or that I am able to meet outside of the Bank Operation Center. Working at SF you have the rare opportunity to work with many different areas of the enterprise besides the department you are in. SF's commitment to furthering education either with pursuing college courses or in house training classes makes for a really positive environment. The Bank has a wonderful way of keeping everyone excited about coming to work and giving 110% everyday.
No matter where you are, the transition is the easiest one to make. I moved here from Pennsylvania, and it's been the best move I've ever made. I made friends quickly, everyone is so friendly, and it's not hard to be excited about work when everyone makes you at ease.
State Farm…
...goes out of its way to insure that you have a work/life balance. They strive for you to work while you are at work but not to take your work home with you, to enjoy your family once you are home.
I am passionate about learning and development as well as my work product. I am able to receive that at Sate Farm and it makes me passionate about my job and the enterprise as a whole. I work hard for my success and State Farm's success.
