Florida Zone Operations Centers
State Farm has been serving Florida customers since 1934. The Florida Zone has over 10,000 associates in both Agency and Operations. We were named as one of Polk County’s best places to work in 2006 and 2007 and placed in the Orlando Sentinel’s “Top 100 Companies for Working Families” the last four years. We recruit for entry-level paraprofessional/support and professional technical positions, mainly for claims and underwriting. There are seven operation centers throughout the state – Winter Haven (main operation center for the Florida Zone), Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, Miami-Dade, Palm Beach and Broward.
One in four Florida households has a State Farm product, including 2.8 million State Farm auto insurance policies and 1.2 million State Farm Florida residential and related property insurance policies. State Farm invests in communities throughout the state of Florida, including: $805,000 in Good Neighbor Citizenship sponsorships, $722,000 for 2009 State Farm Youth Advisory grants to Florida, $1,345,000 for 2009 Road Ranger/State Farm Safety Patrol sponsorship and nearly 5,000 hours of community volunteer service by associates/agents. The Florida Zone is committed to our Green Initiative and recycles over 199 tons of paper onsite per year – that’s 16 tons of paper each month.
