Dad & DaughterCompressed Workweek
A Compressed Workweek is a scheduling alternative that allows you to work the equivalent of a five-day workweek in less than five days or the equivalent of a two-week work period in less than ten days.

Job Sharing
Job Sharing is a form of part-time work where two employees share responsibilities for one full-time position.

Telework
Telework is a non-traditional work arrangement that allows you to work at a location other than the office to which you report.

The Dress Philosophy at State Farm permits relaxed, casual attire.  Each zone and corporate department determines to what extent casual wear, including jeans, is appropriate.  This encourages a friendly and comfortable atmosphere while still providing a professional, energized work environment.

State Farm's Activities Associations promote and encourage social, cultural, outdoor, and physical activities for employees and their families. Activities include children's summer camps, athletic leagues, tickets to local football and hockey games, trips to other cities for shopping or theater events and many other fun events.

Health Promotion
From yoga to healthy cooking to weight loss classes, a variety of wellness programs are offered in many State Farm work locations. As a State Farm employee, you can also take advantage of our US Discount program which allows employees to obtain membership to local fitness centers at discounted rates.

Lab work screening at designated ages is another health promotion opportunity at State Farm. You might also benefit from preventative care benefits offered through our PPO/HMO medical plans.

Employee Assistance Program

Tobacco Cessation
Tobacco use is one of the leading causes of preventable disease and death. State Farm has partnered with the American Cancer Society (ACS) to support tobacco cessation efforts by offering its employees the ACS Quitline® program. The Quitline program is a proven, confidential, telephone-based tobacco cessation program. In addition to assistance from trained counselors, employees actively enrolled in the Quitline program also receive access, at no cost, to several tobacco cessation medications.

Expressions of appreciation

Anniversary Recognition
State Farm honors individual employees for their years of company service.  Employees who complete milestone anniversaries choose a gift from an online catalog.  Those with longer seniority receive a monetary award in addition to a catalog gift.

Select-a-Gift
This popular tradition provides a year-end appreciation gift to employees and retirees. Recipients choose their own gift from an online brochure.

Birthday Recognition
Recognizing employees' birthdays is a tradition at State Farm. For years, State Farm employees gave George Mecherle, the founder of the Company, a bouquet of roses on June 7 to celebrate his birthday and Founder's Day. In 1944, Mr. Mecherle turned the tables and began the tradition of giving each employee a rose on the employee's birthday. Today, many State Farm offices continue this tradition of recognizing employees' birthdays.

A moving experience

Relocation Assistance
As a new-hire, you may qualify for relocation benefits that include moving household goods, lump sum payments, temporary storage, home marketing and home finding assistance. Your experience level and the distance of your relocation will determine which benefits apply. 

If later in your career you transfer to a different State Farm location, you may be eligible for additional relocation benefits, including a guaranteed home purchase. 

Other Worklife benefits

We also provide many other worklife benefits for employees, including commuter vanpools, automatic teller machines, postal services, and full service cafeterias (available in many locations).
