SLATE
SLATE is a program designed by State Farm to partner with teachers involved in professional development opportunities. State Farm employees interested in this program will attend a training workshop and become state certified substitutes. Then, using their Education Support day benefit, they can volunteer as a substitute teacher so that the partnering teacher can take advantage of a professional development opportunity without the school district bearing the cost. While providing a cost savings to the districts, this program also allows State Farm employees the opportunity to understand the environment and challenges of today's teachers. Learn more
