State Farm® Safe Neighbors - Auto Safety
Through Partners for Child Passenger Safety’s (PCPS) “research to action” approach, the effort has significantly contributed to the following improvements in child passenger safety:
- A 15 percent reduction in the number of children killed in motor vehicle crashes
- Continuous decreases in the number and/or the severity of injuries for four-to eight-year-old children
- Increased booster usage from 15 percent in 1999 to 54 percent in 2005
- Partnerships with safety advocates and legislators in more than 40 states to promote more comprehensive child restraint laws
- Upgraded laws in 38 states and the District of Columbia, including a booster seat requirement
