What is Coalition Building?

State Farm® Strong Neighborhoods

What is Coalition Building and Why is it Important?

A coalition is an alliance of independent groups coming together for a common cause. Through relationships, partnerships and coalitions, the Community Relations Division works to help build safer, stronger and better educated communities. By doing so, we help to develop a healthy business environment.

We believe building and maintaining coalitions and relationships in multi-cultural communities are important keys to the success of State Farm®. Currently we focus our coalition building efforts in the African-American, Asian Pacific Islander American and Hispanic communities.

Being a Good Neighbor is both a business and a social responsibility. State Farm’s mission is to help people manage the risks of everyday life, recover from the unexpected, and realize their dreams. We achieve our mission through the products and services we offer and through our involvement in and commitment to the communities where we live and do business. We are a Good Neighbor, in words and in deeds.

We must invest in our future. Strong partnerships and relationships help to build and protect our brand, especially during challenging times. Our long-term success depends on future customers who will have assets to insure and invest and who will be able to make well-informed choices and buying decisions.

State Farm’s success is built upon our proven commitment to keep our promises to our customers.
