Chicago (Aug. 10, 2009)—State Farm Chairman and CEO Ed Rust Jr. is one of four leaders of large businesses based in the Midwest to be honored Friday, Aug. 14, as part of Minority Enterprise Development Week, hosted by the U.S. Commerce Department’s Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA).
Others receiving the CEO Leadership Circle of Excellence Award are Mark Hoplamazian, president and CEO of Hyatt; Brendan McDonagh, CEO of HSBC-North America; and Patricia Woertz, chairman, president and CEO of Archer Daniels Midland.
MBDA says winners of the award are chosen for their leadership and their organization’s accomplishments in management team diversity, diverse vendor relationships and community relations efforts.
