State Farm® Recognized As One Of Top Military-Friendly Employers

Bloomington, Illinois, November 9, 2007 -- For the third consecutive year, State Farm has been named one of the Top 50 Most Military-Friendly Employers by G.I. Jobs® magazine.  State Farm is 34th on the list, which will be published in the magazine’s December issue.

Additionally, State Farm ranked 2nd under the category of National Guard and reserve policies.

The lists are drawn from a sample of more than 2,500 companies with revenue of at least $1 billion.  Criteria used include strength of company military recruiting efforts, the percentage of new hires with prior military service, company policies toward National Guard and reserve service, and veteran training and promotional programs.

"We recognize and value the core principles, abilities and skills people with military experience bring to State Farm,” said Rob Moser, Vice President-Human Relations.  “We want those with military affiliation to know that the Company recognizes and values their contributions."

In addition to the survey, an accompanying story will feature three State Farm employees and one agent who all have military experience.
