National Business Group on Health Honors State Farm As One of Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyles

State Farm Insurance Companies Among 66 Employers Recognized for Promoting Healthy Workplaces

BLOOMINGTON, IL. June 16, 2010 – The National Business Group on Health, a non-profit association of large employers, honored State Farm Insurance Companies on Monday for its commitment and dedication to promoting a healthy workplace and encouraging their workers and families to support and maintain healthy lifestyles.

State Farm was among 66 employers that received the 2010 Best Employers for Healthy Lifestyles award at the Leadership Summit sponsored by the National Business Group on Health’s Institute on Innovation in Workforce Well-being.  State Farm received a Gold Award for its efforts.

State Farm cares about the health of its employees and their families.  Its “Live Well, Be Well initiative encourages employees to make informed lifestyle decisions in the areas of physical activity, nutrition, tobacco cessation and preventive screenings.
