State Farm® Lowers Pennsylvania Auto Insurance Rates
Concordville, PA, May 7, 2007 -- State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, the largest insurer of autos in Pennsylvania and in the nation, is lowering its overall rate level in Pennsylvania an average of 1.2 percent effective May 14. This represents an annual savings of $14.8 million to the company’s Pennsylvania customers.
After this rate change is implemented, State Farm’s overall rate level in Pennsylvania will be 12.7 percent lower than it was 13 years ago.
The company is revising its current multipleline discount program to provide a range of discounts of up to 22 percent for State Farm auto insurance customers with qualifying State Farm policies.
Premiums for the liability, medical payments, funeral benefits, loss of income, combined benefits, collision and comprehensive coverages will go down for most customers. The comprehensive coverage pays for losses from such perils as theft, storm damage, fire, vandalism and glass breakage.
