SF 401(k) Savings Plan

The enhancements to your SF 401(k) savings plan are now effective!  This is a good time to log on to the My State Farm 401(k) Savings Plan Resource web site to explore the new tools and resources available and review your current investment elections.

You also are encouraged to take the following actions:

• Register as a new user—When you first log on to My State Farm 401(k) Savings Plan Resource, you’ll need to enter some personal information (e.g., the last four digits of your Social Security number, your date of birth, and your ZIP Code) and the temporary password you received by mail in August.  You’ll then be prompted to enter a password of your choice.  The password you choose will allow access to the Web site, the automated telephone system and the SF 401(k) Plan Service Center representatives.
• Designate a beneficiary—Your current beneficiary designations will remain in effect until March 31, 2009, but they will not transfer to the new record keeper.  Therefore, on or before March 31, you need to re-establish a beneficiary designation with the new record keeper on My State Farm 401(k) Savings Plan Resource.

When you are ready to access your account information for the first time, refer to the Conversion Guide you received in the mail mid-August.  It includes step-by-step instructions on how to access your account either through the new web site (at http://www.resources.hewitt.com/statefarm) or the automated telephone system (at 1-866-935-4015).
