Important News about your Savings and Thrift Plan

Beginning September 2, 2008, the current Savings and Thrift Plan will undergo some important enhancements to help you manage your retirement savings and give you greater access to your 401(k) plan and account information!

If you are currently a participant in the plan, you should have received a letter (mailed July 24) detailing the enhancements and giving you information about the blackout period. The blackout period begins at 3 p.m. Central Time on Wednesday, August 27, 2008, and ends at 8 a.m. Central Time on Tuesday, September 2, 2008.

Additional information about the enhancements to the plan will be found in the Conversion Guide that will be mailed to your home in mid-August. Soon after you receive your Conversion Guide, a letter including your password to the new My State Farm 401(k) Savings Plan Resource Web site will be mailed to your home so you can access your account after the conversion. You'll want to keep this information in front of you when you log on to the new Web site for the first time on or after September 2.
