Vice President-Operation David Hernandez

On August 14, State Farm received one of the greatest recognitions that could be given from the California Hispanic Chamber of Commerce – the Corporation of the Year award!

Attending a gala and award ceremony, Vice President – Operations David Hernandez accepted the award on State Farm’s behalf. David shared with the attendees how important the partnership State Farm has with CHCC is to our organization and our communities.

State Farm and the CHCC understand the importance of the Hispanic community in California. Hispanic owned businesses are growing at a rate that doubles the national average and State Farm is working to make sure they hear about the Agency opportunity. State Farm also understands the importance of the Hispanic community in the marketplace and how the Company must meet them where they are – doing business how they choose. As a result, more and more State Farm agents are either Spanish-speaking or are hiring staff that can help customers who prefer to speak Spanish.

Contract Coordinator Miriam Jasso and she explained that State Farm recently took part in a CHCC match making event. It was like speed dating for companies and vendors. The vendors had 15 minutes to share their profile. Miriam has shared the contact information with several other departments in State Farm, and found a few vendors that could be used in Contracts & Leasing.
