When the American Red Cross Central Valley Chapter requested a donation of State Farm footballs, the Central Valley Agency Field Office was there, ready to respond. The Central Valley Chapter uses the mini footballs to teach chest compression skills in their CPR and first aid classes.

The Red Cross provides relief to victims of disaster and helps people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.

Footballs aren’t a typical request from non-profit groups, but State Farm was glad they could meet the Red Cross’ needs in this unusual way. “State Farm is all about helping people manage the risks of everyday life which ultimately includes the possibility of saving a life,” said State Farm Executive Mary Sanchez of the Fresno Agency Field Office.

Sharing a common concern to help victims recover from the unexpected, State Farm has partnered with the Red Cross since World War II. Each year State Farm donates $1 million nationally to the Red Cross.
