State Farm Helps Sponsor Huge Turkey Dinner Giveaway in Los Angeles

State Farm Agency Field Executive Devonne Edwards, Agency Field Consultant Adam Tafoya, and Agent Jody Jacobs assist with providing food items for the recipients.

For 20 years, EJ Jackson has given away Thanksgiving dinners from the headquarters of his limo company, Jackson Limousine Service, in Los Angeles. The dinners – approximately 75,000 of them over that 20 year period – come complete with turkey and all the fixings.

Jackson takes donations from local businesses for the annual event, as well as from some of his celebrity clientele. This year, State Farm Agents Carmel Stevens, Karla Greene, and Jody Jacobs made a $5,000 contribution to the festive event, helping put Thanksgiving dinner on the tables of Los Angeles families in need.

"The reason I participated in the Jackson Limousine Turkey Dinner Giveaway was because this community has supported my agency and State Farm for many years," said Stevens. “As a Good Neighbor, I have an obligation to support this community and assist them in recovering from unexpected challenging times.”

The turkey giveaway was a festive occasion, with booths featuring giveaways and several radio stations playing music, broadcasting live from the event.

Mr. Jackson said, “We saw the need and just knew we had to do just something to help senior citizens on a fixed incomes be able to receive, prepare and enjoy an old-fashioned Thanksgiving dinner at home. It was as simple as that.”
