Cars 2 Tour Comes to Sacramento

Ever wonder what it would be like to stand next to a computer-animated superstar? Sacramento residents had that experience when the Disney Pixar’s Cars 2 Tour made stops at the Roseville Galleria and Dave’s Pumpkin Patch in West Sacramento on October 7 and 8.

For both tour stops, eager CARS fans lined up early to be the first to get a free online photo with the CARS stars. Attendees were greeted with a coloring book and a reusable bag that they could fill with the CARS give-a-ways received from playing games like the spin wheel and plinko.

Lines were long throughout the event as people patiently waited for a chance to get a photo with Lightning McQueen, Mater, and Finn McMissile.  “Agency teams and tour staff did an incredible job interacting with consumers as they waited in line,” said State Farm Agent Doug Rowley, who participated in the Roseville event.

Dave’s Pumpkin Patch, which offers attractions such as a corn maze and other fall festivities, recorded its highest attendance ever.

After observing a father and son playing the CARS 2 memory game together and a family with two sets of twins posing for a picture in front of Lightning McQueen, Doug commented, "What a great family affair! Everyone stopping by seemed to have a great time."
