Safe Kids Oklahoma

State Farm has a strong commitment in Oklahoma to keeping kids safe, especially when it comes to seat belts and car seat safety. We partner with Safe Kids because of their mission to prevent accidental childhood injury. Safe Kids administers the standardized National Child Passenger Safety (CPS) Certification program. State Farm works closely with Safe Kids chapters in Tulsa and Oklahoma City to share the message of child passenger safety and sponsor child seat safety events. State Farm is proud to support those efforts by offering grants that facilitate community Car Seat Technician training classes and car seat checkups. Through our partnership, there are more kids riding in car seats that are installed correctly.

Junior Achievement

The poor economy has heightened awareness for financial literacy education in Oklahoma. State Farm has a long term relationship with Junior Achievement in Oklahoma. Besides a grant each year, State Farm agents and employees spend time in the classroom teaching curriculum that is provided by Junior Achievement. Many children have questions about our economy. Junior Achievement does an outstanding job educating kids about effective money management, not only so they can avoid the financial pitfalls into which so many adults have fallen, but because our kids will someday run our businesses, our government, and our financial institutions. Junior Achievement has a long history of working closely with the business and education communities to deliver programs that teach K-12 students age-appropriate, hands-on lessons about how to be financially literate. After participating in Junior Achievement programs, students see the important connections between education, career, salary and desired lifestyle.
