After a few seconds, the near-capacity crowd erupted in thunderous applause.

Votes Are In!

“Boone High School is grateful to our good neighbor State Farm® for their generous grant,” Dr. McMillen said. “We can do great things for our students and our school with this award – a wonderful example of businesses and schools working together to build strong communities.”

With this grant, Boone High School plans to equip its classrooms with the technology tools needed to engage digital learners.

Since a traffic-related double tragedy struck the school community in 2011, Boone High School has made great strides in educating their student body about safe driving habits. The school’s student groups, parent association, athletic boosters, faculty, and student body all played a part in encouraging the community to vote for their school during Celebrate My Drive.

The school community is proud of its efforts to help teens “Own Every Mile.” For additional information on State Farm teen auto safety initiatives, please visit http://teendriving.statefarm.com/
