State Farm® Announces Donation of Land for New Winter Haven Hospital Healthcare Center

State Farm today announced the donation of more than three acres of land that will feature a new Winter Haven Hospital healthcare center. The donated land is adjacent to State Farm’s Winter Haven Operations Center, with frontage to Cypress Gardens Boulevard.

“We can’t thank State Farm enough for this wonderful investment in our organization,” said Lance Anastasio, CEO of Winter Haven Hospital (WHH). “State Farm’s generosity will help us in our mission to improve the health of the people we serve, by providing the highest quality and most effective care and services – and to return value to the people of our communities.”

The healthcare facility will be built in two phases and will eventually encompass over 16,000 square feet. The center will house a number of primary care physicians as well as specialty physicians and services. The multi-specialty facility will provide primary medical care by appointment and other medical services, and is expected to accept all State Farm medical plans.

“This truly is an all around win-win for State Farm, our Winter Haven Hospital partners and our local community,” said Florida Zone VPO Julia Muscott. “We value this opportunity to be Good Neighbors to a new healthcare facility that will provide care for the sick and increase the health and wellness of our families. And having a healthcare center next door to the WHOC – where approximately 1,400 associates work – will be a wonderful benefit for State Farm team members.”

State Farm and WHH began discussing this donation over four years ago, and have been steadily working since that time to make it happen. Administrative Services is handling all the details regarding the donation of the land and Winter Haven Hospital’s use of the property.

“State Farm has been an outstanding corporate citizen in our community for generations and has helped build this region in ways large and small,” said Eric Adamson, chairman of the WHH Foundation Board of Trustees. “We are very honored and grateful that State Farm has chosen to recognize how our not-for-profit patient care mission creates long-term value for Central Florida.”
