Special Olympics

State Farm is the proud sponsor of the Special Olympics Statewide Leadership Conference which will take place on September 24-26, 2010 at Treasure Island Resort and Casino. The weekend event brings over 400 statewide leadership, coaches and key athletes together for training and certification. In 2009 these volunteers touched over 6,500 athletes with the help of more than18,000 volunteers throughout Minnesota.

Kids Voting

Kids Voting of Minnesota is a grassroots non-partisan organization dedicated to educating Minnesota youth about their rights and responsibilities and the importance of participating in American democracy. State Farm is the lead sponsor of Kids Voting in Minnesota and our support allows ongoing participation in current communities who participate in Kids Voting and provides funding to assist new programs in new communities throughout Minnesota. In the 2008 election year, 45,686 Minnesota students participated in the election through Kids Voting. Through this program, Minnesota youth learn to be good corporate citizens and encourage their friends and families to do the same.

State Farm is a proud sponsor the Carlson School of Management/University of Minnesota. Our grants fund various Carlson School of Management programs in education excellence, service learning and leadership. The programs include Entrepreneurial Studies – Entrepreneurs in Action; women’s initiatives, including the Title Sponsor for the Women’s Leadership Conference; and a student led CHANCE initiative modeling university public engagement and integrative leadership.
