Lincoln Parks and Recreation Foundation

State Farm is partnering with the Lincoln Parks and Recreation Foundation to fund a Corporate Wall mural in Union Plaza. Union Plaza is a three block urban park that will be located in the core of Lincoln just north of O St., between 21st and 22nd Streets. This project will be completes in 2010 and will result with a six acre park that has innovate educational amenities, an amphitheatre, a pond plaza and plat areas for local community to enjoy. State Farm appreciates being a part of this community project because Union Plaza will become a gathering place and destination for everyone in area not only Lincolnites but also visitors.

Nebraska Safety Council, Inc.

State Farm collaborates with the Nebraska Safety Council on variety of issues involving teen drivers and auto safety. Our donations to this organization create behind the wheel safety driving instructional course for teen drivers throughout Nebraska. Several of our State Farm agents volunteer their time to this organization whether to help with community safety events or speak about the importance of automobile insurance. During the 2010 Legislative Session, State Farm partnered with this organization to generate community support on our recent enacted Texting Ban law in Nebraska.

Heartland Big Brother and Big Sisters

State Farm knows one of the best ways to enhance children lives is to ensure they have positive and lasting relationships in their young lives. For 10 years our State Farm employees have annual participated in the Heartland Big Brothers and Big Sisters Bowlathon. This year the State Farm bowlers raised nearly $11,500 dollars to support Heartland Big Brother and Big Sister. Our State Farm bowlathon funds will help youth reach their full potential through friendship and guidance of a Big Brother or Big Sister.
