Kids Voting South Dakota

KVSD is a non-partisan, non-profit, grassroots organization, administered through the Chiesman Center for Democracy, that is dedicated to building a more informed generation of voters and providing an exciting and useful year-round civic education program for all South Dakota students.  The Kids Voting mission is working to secure the future of democracy by preparing young people to be educated, engaged citizens. KVSD serves 83 school districts with just over 80,000 student participants. State Farm believes more participation in the political process, by all citizens, is important. That is why the company supports KVSD with a $10,000 grant annually

South Dakota Safety Council

Because vehicle crashes are the number one cause of death for young adults between the ages of 14 and 24, State Farm partners with SDSC and the organization’s life-saving program, “Alive At 25” since its inception. “Alive At 25” is a four-hour, interactive, defensive driving program for drivers ages 14-24. Students learn about the devastating consequences of practicing risky driving behaviors.
