Strong Neighborhoods Grant donated to Habitat program

November 29, 2010 - Several State Farm® agents in Berkeley County recently presented a $5,000 check from our Strong Neighborhoods Grant program to Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Panhandle.

The donation was used for the Habitat for Humanity Blitz Build project. Berkeley County agents at the presentation included Eric Gates, Kay Lewis, Pam Neely, Dawn Newland, Dave Piepenbrink and Jerry Williams.

Completed in just a week – Sept. 13-17 – the Blitz Build is a new home construction project in the Auburndale community in Martinsburg. Members of the Eastern Panhandle Home Builders Association and other community businesses and organizations donate labor, materials and meals for the project, according to the Martinsburg Journal-News.
