Rancho Cucamonga, CA (October 14, 2011) - State Farm Insurance Companies announced that Yucaipa High School in Yucaipa, CA is one of 26 winners from around the country in the first half of Friday Night Feats, a national video contest highlighting the biggest moments from this year’s high school football season. Yucaipa High School has been awarded $2,500 and has a chance at a $15,000 grand prize for the video highlighting a play from the 2011 football season. These twenty-six winning videos were determined by fan votes on www.FridayNightFeats.com during the first half of the contest from Aug. 25 through Oct.6.

“As a State Farm Agent with connections to the school, I am happy to see Yucaipa High School has won a chance to be a finalist for a third year in a row!” said State Farm Agent Valerie Menefee. “All I had to do was remind the players at Yucaipa High School the competition was on and a video was submitted. It was just as simple as that!”

Fans, athletes and coaches still have a chance to show off their big plays by entering a video during the second half of the contest which runs from Oct. 10 until Nov. 28. Eligible participants can submit videos to www.FridayNightFeats.com, and enter the competition for the best Friday Night Feat of the 2011 high school football season. Fan votes during the second half will determine which schools win $2,500 and advance to become “Finalist Nominees” in the State Farm Friday Night Feats video contest.

At the end of the second half, Nov. 28, a panel will narrow the field of “Finalist Nominees” down to the top 10 videos based on the "wow" factor, athleticism, impact of the play, and creativity of the video. The panel includes MaxPreps football experts Stephen Spiewak, Steve Montoya, Andrew Puccioni, Chris Stonebraker and Blake McFarland. Viewers have the final word, choosing the first, second, and third place winners by voting for their favorites from Dec. 9 until Dec.16. The winners will be announced on Dec. 19. Cash prizes for the top videos are $15,000 for first place, $10,000 for second place and $5,000 for third place.

Please join us in congratulating Yucaipa High School! We look forward to seeing if their video makes the Top 10 when fans have completed voting for the top prize.
