Cheyenne, Wyo., July 14, 2011 - If you are a State Farm policyholder affected by the recent storm activity, please contact your State Farm agent to report your claim. If you are unable to reach your agent, report your claim by calling our toll-free number 800-SFCLAIM (800-732-5246).
“Our first priority is taking care of our State Farm customers’ needs as quickly as possible,” says Vice President-Operations Troy Turner.
State Farm representatives are surveying damage and, as of Wednesday, July 13, State Farm is projecting approximately 5,000 auto-related claims and 1,500 homeowners-related claims.
Damage to vehicles includes broken windshields and body damage caused by hail and flying debris; homes affected by the storm are reporting roof damage, broken windows, damage to siding, outside decks and fencing.
Personal safety is paramount. When it is safe to do so, make temporary repairs to prevent further damage. Save receipts if you purchase items such as tape and plywood or other supplies to make repairs. State Farm is already handling customer’s claims and bringing in catastrophe claim representatives to assist local personnel working in the affected areas.
