State Farm® policyholders affected by the high winds in the area are asked to contact their agent
Salt Lake City, Utah, Dec. 1, 2011 - State Farm customers whose properties were damaged by the high winds in several areas of Utah are encouraged to contact their agent right away, report their claim by calling our toll-free number 800-SFCLAIM (800-732-5246), or go online to Report a Claim at statefarm.com.
“Our first priority is getting in touch with our State Farm customers as quickly as possible to start the claim process,” says Vice President-Agency Kenneth Whitehair. “It is important for those affected by the high winds to call their agent. We also encourage our policyholders to save receipts for any temporary repairs they may need to make to protect property from further damage.”
State Farm is projecting approximately 600 homeowners-related claims. Policyholders affected by the storm are reporting roof damage, broken windows, and damage to siding, outside decks and fencing. When it is safe to do so, make temporary repairs. Save receipts if you purchase items such as tape and plywood or other supplies to make any repairs. Personal safety is paramount.
