Recognizing Tasha Veney
Johnstown, Pa., July 29, 2011 – State Farm Agents Mary Ann Hazlett and Matt Cashdollar, both of Johnstown, and their team members are sponsoring a “Celebration of Life” event recognizing the tragic loss of Tasha Veney earlier this year as a result of a domestic violence situation. Veney left behind three young children.
“Our community shared in the tragedy and unexpected loss of this young mother,” said Cashdollar. During this six hour celebration of life, various community and safety organizations will be on hand to offer advice and services as the healing process continues. Hazlett added, “We feel that our community is unaware of the importance of insurance and the impact of not having any in place if they were to pass away unexpectedly; therefore, education is the key to ensuring this does not happen in the future.”
The “Celebration of Life” event will take place on Saturday, July 30, 2011 beginning at 3:00 p.m. at the East Side Elementary School, 220 Messenger St., playground area. The event includes a cookout, activities for children, a DJ and more. All of the proceeds collected will go toward the accounts set up for the children in each of their names. The public is invited.
