Raleigh, NC August 25, 2011- State Farm®, the leading insurer of  homes in North Carolina and the nation, is ready for Hurricane Irene. The company is reassigning key personnel to focus on preparing for Hurricane Irene's impact and ensure open, clear lines of communication ready in advance of the storm.

State Farm, the industry leader in catastrophe response, has a mobile Catastrophe Response Team of experienced claim representatives who are ready to respond quickly if Hurricane Irene impacts our customers. On the ground, the largest claims team in the industry is ready to work with associates, agents and their staff who are spread across North Carolina's potential impact area. They are ready to start assisting policyholders as soon as help is needed.
