Newark, OH, May 18, 2011 The Central Ohio Area on Aging recently recognized State Farm Insurance with the Outstanding Service to Seniors Award at the annual Hall of Fame Luncheon. Nominated by Dave Bibler, Executive Director of the Licking County Aging Program, State Farm received this honor for its Good Neighbor Service work which takes place in June of each year.
For the past four years, State Farm employees have volunteered their time and talents to help local seniors with projects on the Aging Programs chore list. According to Bibler, it is a reciprocal benefit as the State Farm employees get as much out of the day as the seniors who are receiving their help.
State Farm Vice President Operations Susan Krieger accepted the award on behalf of State Farm along with Licking County Aging Program Board Members and State Farm employees Stephanie Shonebarger and Lauren Gould. Krieger added, Participating in Good Neighbor Service Month brings the State Farm story to life by promoting volunteerism among our agents and employees.
