Nearly 2,000 Expected to Take Part in This Years Event
Lincoln, NE, March 21, 2011 The 13th Annual State Farm Run begins Saturday morning, March 26, at the companys Lincoln Operations Center at 84th and O streets.
Close to 2,000 runners are expected to take part, including about 250 young people, said Race Director Shelly Adcox. Participants will choose from a one-mile run, a 10-mile run or a 5K run. The one-mile run takes place entirely on the State Farm campus. The longer routes begin and end at State Farm and include portions of the MoPac Trail.
The one-mile run begins at 8:30 a.m.; the 10-mile begins at 9:00 a.m. and the 5K at 9:10 a.m.
State Farms partner in the event is the Lincoln Track Club. The race has grown from about 600 participants in 1999.
