Nearly 2,000 Expected to Take Part in This Year’s Event
Lincoln, NE, March 21, 2011 – The 13th Annual State Farm Run begins Saturday morning, March 26, at the company’s Lincoln Operations Center at 84th and O streets.
Close to 2,000 runners are expected to take part, including about 250 young people, said Race Director Shelly Adcox. Participants will choose from a one-mile run, a 10-mile run or a 5K run. The one-mile run takes place entirely on the State Farm campus. The longer routes begin and end at State Farm and include portions of the MoPac Trail.
The one-mile run begins at 8:30 a.m.; the 10-mile begins at 9:00 a.m. and the 5K at 9:10 a.m.
State Farm’s partner in the event is the Lincoln Track Club. The race has grown from about 600 participants in 1999.
