DuPont, Washington, September 23, 2011 - State Farm vice president Carolyn Lee was honored by The American College Alumni Association as Alumna of the Month for September for her dedication to the college and the financial services industry.
“It was an honor and totally unexpected,” said Carolyn in response to receiving the recognition. “I was raised in a household that values education and I am a strong supporter of personal development.”
The American College is a non-profit educational institution that specializes in high-level training and development for financial services professionals.
Carolyn has received four designations from the college including Chartered Life Underwriter, Chartered Leadership Fellow, Chartered Advisor for Senior Living, and Chartered Financial Consultant.
Carolyn’s career with the company began in Alamo, California in 1991 when she became an insurance agent. She has served in several roles at State Farm throughout her career. Most recently, Carolyn moved to Lakewood and joined State Farm’s Pacific Northwest regional office in DuPont in 2003. She was promoted to agency vice president in 2006. She earned her bachelor's degree from the University of California - Davis and her master's degree from Stanford University.
