State Farm Insurance® reminds the public to prepare for the upcoming wildfire season.
GREELEY, Colo., (March 15, 2011) - Officially, it's not wildfire season. However, the wet weather is feeding the spring green-up, causing concern for late summer fire risks.
"Wyoming is such a gorgeous place, and for those who live in and around the forest area they need to take seriously their risk of experiencing a wildfire," said State Farm spokeswoman Angela Thorpe. "Time and time again, we find evidence following wildfires that those homeowners who kept their grass short and trees pruned and properly spaced around the home fared far better than those who didn’t."
Now is the time to take your wildfire risk very seriously and take the necessary steps to protect your personal property.
Here are some steps you can take to prepare.
