October 19, 2011 - For the third consecutive year, State Farm has supported Idaho’s Smart Women, Smart Money financial conferences and workshops. The 2011 conferences were offered in Boise on October 1 and Coeur d’Alene on October 8. Approximately 1,200 attendees from young teen mothers to women well into retirement attended the conferences to learn the essential information empowering them to take control of their financial lives.
The message of the conference is that it is never too late, or too early, to learn about finances. State Farm continues to be a strong supporter of financial education because knowledge of money matters makes it easier for consumers to make smart choices. State Farm provided educational materials and was one the event’s sponsors.
Boise Agent Angela Webb represented State Farm at the Boise Conference. Her educational topic was “Chaos to Clarity,” which discussed ways for women to immediately take control of their financial situation.
Post Falls Agent Sue Breesnee spoke at the Coeur d’Alene Conference, addressing the topic of “Financial Challenges Facing Women.”
Thanks to efforts such as these, women’s financial power continues to rapidly increase. Ninety percent of women will be solely responsible for their own finances at some point in their lives. This information will help them navigate financial challenges and offer opportunities to grow while maintaining stability.
