Newark, Ohio (June 21, 2012) -The donation of a salvage hybrid vehicle by State Farm’s Ohio Operation Center will help students in secondary center’s automotive technologies lab at the Career and Technology Center of Licking County learn about the advanced and ever-changing technology of hybrid vehicles.
“We are thrilled with this donation from State Farm,” offered Jim Boorn, instructor of automotive technologies. “Our students will benefit from being able to learn about Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV) which will further prepare them for the future of this industry.”
Students will be learning about the components of these Hybrid Electric Vehicles and will gain a better understanding of how they operate. They will also focus on hybrid and high voltage safety, and hands-on diagnostic and repair skills.
