Today State's Largest Insurer Reports on Mounting Insurance Claims
Denver, Colo., June 20, 2012 - As of Wednesday, State Farm® had received almost 5,700 homeowners claims and more than 5,900 automobile claims for the areas effected by the severe weather events stemming from June 6 – 8.
The company brought in additional resources and have been meeting with homeowners impacted by the severe weather, settling claims throughout the past week.
As for cars, multiple drive-in locations across the state were set up in the areas hardest hit and the volume of customers at those facilities has been steady.
Claims reflect the primarily damage being reported is related to hail and wind.
State Farm customers are asked to call their agent or 1-(800)-SF-CLAIM (1-800-732-5246) in order to report damage. They can also visit www.statefarm.com.
After filing a claim customers are encouraged to use the Online Claims Status Tool as answers to many of the most pertinent claims questions can be found there.
