The Santa Clara County Fire Safe Council awarded $5,000 for wildfire prevention efforts
What: The Santa Clara County Fires Safe Council has been selected as a State Farm Insurance Good Neighbor Citizenship grant recipient for 2012. The Council will receive a $5,000 grant in support of the organization's wildfire prevention and loss mitigation programs.
The Council collaborates extensively with public and private agencies and individuals from fourteen communities across Santa Clara County that are at significant risk of wildfires. Through its natural fuels reduction program and education and outreach efforts, the Council strives to prevent and minimize the losses from wildfires.
Please join us in congratulating the Santa Clara County Fire Safe Council. State Farm representatives will present the check to the Council during a visit on Tuesday, March 13th at 2:00 p.m.
