Junior Achievement of the Eastern Shore Wins Grant to Support Educational Programs
Maryland (June 7, 2012) - State Farm® is proud to award Junior Achievement of the Eastern Shore a $5,000 grant to support educational programs in Maryland middle schools. The grant will provide funding for Junior Achievement’s Economics for Success program, which helps students learn about personal finance and the importance of educational and career goals.
"Junior Achievement's programs teach students to be fiscally responsible, prepare them for the world of work and ignite a passion for success, and I’m proud State Farm will provide financial support to the group for all the work they do throughout eastern Maryland,” said State Farm Agent Megan Nabb.
Junior Achievement’s mission is to ensure that every child in America has a fundamental understanding of the free enterprise system. The Eastern Shore chapter works with more than 5,000 elementary, middle and high school students to provide hands-on educational programs on financial literacy, workforce readiness and entrepreneurship.
