Hawaii (December 20, 2012)
There have been a string of earthquakes lately. While many of those are thousands of miles off the Hawaii coast line they pose a serious threat to these shores. Earthquakes and the tsunamis they create are inevitable. When the big wave rolls in the one item that can make or break your recovery process is the proper insurance coverage.
A standard Homeowners or Business policy does not cover damage caused by an earthquake or tsunami. To protect yourself from these threats you must have an earthquake endorsement on your Homeowner's or Business policy and a separate flood policy.
