Parsippany, NJ, (June, 2012) - Once again, State Farm was proud to partner with Paterson Habitat in their yearlong efforts to provide affordable housing for families in need.
Habitat recently marked a milestone: this local affiliate has been chosen nationally to raise the walls on the 500,001st Habitat house – the first house as Habitat affiliates around the world build toward a million. Not to be deterred from their local mission they continue their focus to develop affordable housing for low-income first-time homeowners.
This year, State Farm continued its partnership by participating in their Corporate Challenge, Hammering 4 Habitat and Volunteer Recognition events. Nearly 20 employees participated in the Corporate Challenge and helped build alongside future homeowners and other corporate sponsors.
The Annual Volunteer Recognition dinner brings together and recognizes those who have made a difference in furthering and supporting Habitat's affordable housing efforts while their Hammering 4 Habitat is a symbolic event that builds walls for new homes.
