The Cheer Team will receive $2000 grant for Peer to Peer Safe Driving Program this Friday at the school
DuPont, Wash. Feb. 8, 2012 Hoquiam High School is one of just 25 winners across the US and Canada in State Farms Project Ignition grant competition.
Project Ignition, in its eighth year, is a studentled teen driver safety program developed because car crashes remain the No. 1 killer of youth. Hoquiams Cheer Team is doing its part to change this sad statistic through research, coaching and education in Grays Harbor.
The Hoquiam High Cheer Team should be proud of this accomplishment, said David Steinman, local State Farm agent. They have developed a great program and we at State Farm are very excited to support their efforts in our community.
Please join us in congratulating Hoquiams Cheer Team on Friday, Feb. 10 at noon in the high school gym as agent David Steinman will present the check to the team at an all school assembly.
