Washington D.C. (December 12, 2012)
The Jon Laskin State Farm Agency is accepting donations for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program to help ensure that all kids have a joyous holiday season. Members of the community are invited to participate by dropping off a new, unwrapped book or toy at the agency's office at 5600 Connecticut Ave., NW, in Washington, D.C.
Toys for Tots collects new toys during October, November and December each year and distributes the items as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children. Local campaigns are conducted annually in more than 700 communities covering all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
This is just one example of State Farm agents and associates joining forces with local non-profits and community partners to make a difference this holiday season by supporting a variety of donation drives across the mid-Atlantic region.
