See the National Fire Dog Monument during its stop in BloomingtonThe first-ever National Fire Dog Monument stops in Bloomington on Sunday, June 24 as part of its 2000-mile tour honoring America's firefighters, law enforcement officials, and the invaluable arson dogs who keep us safe.
The statue is on display from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the State Farm Insurance, Corp. Headquarters, parking lot J, One State Farm Plaza, Bloomington, IL 61710.
Sadie, certified arson dog and a 2011 American Humane Association Hero Dog Awards™ winner will be on hand to commemorate the monument's display. Sadie will demonstrate accelerate detection. Illinois State Fire Marshal Larry Matkaitis also will be in attendance.

About the National Fire Dog MonumentThe National Fire Dog Monument (NFDM) is a bronze sculpture to serve as a lasting monument for the service and dedication that arson dogs contribute to communities.
At nearly 7 feet tall, the monument depicts a firefighter looking down at his canine partner and was sculpted by 22-year-old Colorado firefighter Austin Weishel (former Hinsdale, IL resident) and takes its place along with other venerable symbols of the nation's gratitude in Washington, D.C.
