The National Fire Dog Monument (NFDM) is a bronze sculpture to serve as a lasting monument for the service and dedication that arson dogs contribute to communities.
At nearly 7 feet tall, the monument depicts a firefighter looking down at his canine partner and was sculpted by 22-year-old Colorado firefighter Austin Weishel (former Hinsdale, IL resident) and takes its place along with other venerable symbols of the nation's gratitude in Washington, D.C.
