Lower North Fork Fire Residents Return Home to Assess Damage
Conifer, Colo., March 29, 2012 - A large crowd at the Conifer evacuation center let out a loud cheer with the announcement today that some residents would be allowed back home. State Farm anticipates more claims will be filed as people return home and assess the damage.
“Our customers who’ve experienced heavy damage to their homes, we’re helping them already,” said Claims Team Manager Bob Blume. “As our customers return home and they’re finding visible evidence of smoke or soot damage, or trees burned on their property, we ask that they contact us so we can begin helping them with their claim.”
State Farm has been at the evacuation center helping customers from the first night when the fire broke out. Customers who are finding damage as they return home are asked to contact their agent, report their claim at statefarm.com or visit the claims team at the evacuation center located at West Jefferson Middle School.
“Once we’re permitted into the evacuated areas, we’ll be able to meet with our customers at their homes and help them document their losses so we can resolve their claims as quickly as possible,” concluded Blume.
