San Ramon Valley Safety Program Receives Financial Support

State Farm provides grant for community-based traffic safety program.

What:The San Ramon Valley Street Smarts Program received a grant from State Farm Insurance for 2012. With an emphasis on education, Street Smarts is a collaborative traffic safety program that involves community members, public agencies, and the private sector. State Farm’s investment of $7,000 supports the organization’s teen driver safety program, “It Happens”.

A check presentation is scheduled for Friday, February 10th at Oak Hill Park Community Center in Danville. The presentation will occur during a Street Smarts Storybook Poster Contest judging session. The contest, designed for elementary school students, will be judged by local mayors and Contra Costa County Supervisors.
