Bloomington, Ill, December 7, 2012 – State Farm associates are joining forces with local non-profits and community partners to make a difference this holiday season by supporting donation drives in Virginia. State Farm Agents and employees are spreading good cheer by donating to those in need.
“We at State Farm make it our business to be like a good neighbor and help our customers recover from the unexpected,” said Spokesperson Amy Preddy. “The holidays offer us an opportunity to help our community in a different way. Every gift–big or small–is appreciated.”
State Farm employees in Charlottesville, Va., recently collected gently used coats for the Salvation Army. Yesterday, Salvation Army Kettle Coordinator Steven Leer picked up three barrels of coats to give to those in need.
This is State Farm’s third year hosting a coat drive for the Salvation Army.
State Farm is also inviting the public to join toy donation drives in Charlottesville and North Chesterfield. Donations can be dropped off at the following locations:
