| WHAT: | During National Fire Prevention Week, 558 smoke and 180 carbon monoxide detectors will be donated to the chiefs of Licking County's 18 fire departments for distribution to area families in need. |
| WHY: | Since 2008 and over $25,000 in total funding, the State Farm® Fire Safety Fund of the Licking County Foundation has granted a total of 3,128 smoke and 504 CO detectors to local fire departments and helped thousands of area families be safer in their homes with these life-saving alarms. These detectors are very important for preventing home fire fatalities and carbon monoxide poisonings by providing early warning signals and giving families time to escape. |
