Teen Driver Safety Program Introduced at Franklin High School

Elk Grove Community to Benefit from Teens in the Driver Seat Program

WHAT:  Teens in the Driver Seat is a 2012 recipient of a State Farm Insurance Good Neighbor Citizenship grant. The organization received a $15,000 grant in support of its mission, peer-to-peer teen driver safety education.

State Farm Insurance will present a check to Teens in the Driver Seat during the organization's visit to Franklin High School on Wednesday, September 19th. Teens in the Driver Seat uses a teen driver safety education program that is shaped and implemented for and by teens. With a goal of creating a “safety culture” among young people that ultimately saves lives, Teens in the Driver Seat is a very successful and free program available to schools and youth groups in California, Texas, Georgia and Montana.

Join us in congratulating Teens in the Driver Seat and the Franklin High School community. A check presentation will be held to honor this program's establishment in California.
