WHAT: Teens in the Driver Seat is a 2012 recipient of a State Farm Insurance Good Neighbor Citizenship grant. The organization received a $15,000 grant in support of its mission, peer-to-peer teen driver safety education.
State Farm Insurance will present a check to Teens in the Driver Seat during the organization's visit to Franklin High School on Wednesday, September 19th. Teens in the Driver Seat uses a teen driver safety education program that is shaped and implemented for and by teens. With a goal of creating a safety culture among young people that ultimately saves lives, Teens in the Driver Seat is a very successful and free program available to schools and youth groups in California, Texas, Georgia and Montana.
