Considering the benefits of a home fire sprinkler system? Home fire sprinklers can be a life saver. More than 3,000 people die, 17,000 are injured, and 100 firefighters are killed by fires in the US every year.
In 2010, the Normal Fire Department hosted a side-by-side burn demonstration to show the Bloomington/Normal community how effective home sprinklers can be for home safety.
"Residential fire sprinklers are incredibly valuable to produce stronger, safer homes where lives are saved and a family's biggest investment, their home, is better protected," Bloomington Fire Chief Mike Kimmerling.
This weekend, homeowners will get a chance to have their questions answered about these systems. Stop by State Farm booth #129 at this year's Bloomington Home Show to talk to representatives from the Home Fire Sprinkler Coalition, local fire departments and learn more about State Farm's support of residential fire sprinklers.
